Ecosystem Class Presentations

100 possible points for each presenter
You and a partner (there can be a few single presenters) will select an environmental disaster topic for presentation. Presentations will not only inform, but will serve to build a repertoire of materials for your classmates on environmental topics.
You and your partner may sign up by placing your names beside your chosen topic
Presentations must

Be about 20 minutes in duration

Be a shared endeavor (preparation, presentation, etc)

Relies on 6 -8 varied sources of information (minimum!)

Include background of geographic area (map, biomes/ecosystem)

Fully explain the reason/cause for the disaster

Incorporate terms appropriate for Ecosystem 310 course

Utilize terms specific to presentation topic. All must be fully explained.

Include detailed information and serve to educate the class on all areas of subject. (ex: if there is a chemical spill involved, give the background on the chemical and why it was considered important to manufacture in the first place)

Explain future concerns/actions/outcomes for subject topic
Material must be presented via PowerPoint

Mix of text and images

Information for PowerPoint slide should be in the notes section of each slide

References cited are on last slide

Your topic/presenter names are on the first slide
**All PowerPoints must be emailed to your instructor immediately after your presentation, who will then distribute to the class for study and sharing via the course portal.
